Welcome to the Wisconsin Black Student Union!

We are truly excited to flip the script and bring WBSU to you in style for 2006-2007 academic year! The Wisconsin Black Student Union is the Black networking organization on campus. We have several events planned for the upcoming year and we hope that all of you will be able to attend. For starters, we would like to cordially invite you to our kick off event, “Freshman Meet and Greet Ice Cream Social and Dance” on September 2nd 2006 at the MSC Satellite. This event will be located under the bridge at the intersection of Johnson and Lake, across the street from Witte Hall. Come mix and mingle and learn about all of the exciting WBSU positions and networking opportunities for the year! As many of you know, for the past 3 years WBSU has encountered a very cumbersome debt. In our efforts to erase the debt and provide more programming and opportunity for you, this year we will carry the ongoing theme of project “Get WBSU OUT OF DEBT!” We highly value the support of our constituents and ask you to support us through membership dues and donations at our various events over the course the year! Please take a moment and look through our NEW Website! We have a new executive board so take the time to read over our bios and photos! Additionally, this year WBSU seeks to start a new tradition for Black folks on campus…The Wisconsin Black Student Yearbook! If you are interested in working on the WBSU executive board as an at-large member or for freshman as a freshman ambassador, please come to our first general body meeting on September 21st to get more information! We look forward to the following year and can’t wait to begin our work!
